Change the default WordPress login URL to a custom login address and create separate login URLs for different user roles. You can also manage administrator usernames and user email addresses, customize the WordPress login screen, and enable additional security hardening options from a single settings page. AccessDoor includes 8 built-in security features designed to help reduce common WordPress attack surfaces, including disabling XML-RPC, REST API access, file editing, directory browsing, PHP execution in the uploads directory, comments, and pingbacks. Disable Comments 2. Disable XML-RPC Pingbacks 3. Disable REST API 4. Disable XML-RPC 5. Block Directory Browsing 6. Disable PHP Execution in the Uploads Directory 7. Disable Pingbacks 8. Disable File Editing in the WordPress Dashboard Each security feature can be enabled or disabled independently from the AccessDoor settings page. ### Important Notes * AccessDoor is not compatible with WordPress Multisite or Network installations. The plugin will not provide its settings or functionality on multisite/network sites. * AccessDoor does not permanently remove WordPress’s default login functionality. * A fallback access method is available to help prevent accidental administrator lockouts. * Always keep your configured login URL and recovery information secure. * Test your custom login URL after changing login settings and before ending your current administrator session. * Some security features may affect functionality provided by WordPress, themes, or third-party plugins. Upload the `accessdoor-smart-admin-login-url-control` plugin to the `/wp-content/ plugins/` directory. 2. Activate AccessDoor from the **Plugins** menu in WordPress. 3. Open the AccessDoor settings page from the WordPress admin dashboard. 4. Configure your custom login URL, role-based login URLs, login screen, and security options. 5. Save your settings and test the configured login URL before logging out. ## FAQ ### Will AccessDoor lock me out of my site? AccessDoor includes a fallback mechanism designed to help administrators regain access if the custom login URL is unavailable or misconfigured. ### Does AccessDoor completely disable wp-login.php? No. AccessDoor changes how access to the default WordPress login endpoints is handled according to your configuration. It does not permanently remove WordPress’s login functionality. ### Can I customize the WordPress login page? Yes. You can customize the login screen with options such as a custom logo, background color, and background image. ### Can I create different login URLs for different user roles? Yes. AccessDoor allows you to configure role-based login URLs for supported WordPress user roles, including custom roles. ### Can I change the administrator username? Yes. AccessDoor allows you to update the administrator username from the plugin settings. ### Can I change user email addresses without confirmation emails? Yes. AccessDoor provides an option to update administrator and user email addresses without requiring the standard WordPress confirmation email. ### Is AccessDoor compatible with WooCommerce? Yes.
