## Description

**Print real receipts for your online orders** — not invoices, receipts. Two ways
to print, with the same designed templates: **print from your browser** on any printer
installed on your computer (free, unlimited, nothing to install), or add the free**
Receipt Bridge** for **silent automatic printing** on the events you choose — no
PDF step, no print dialog, no clicks. Start with polished pre-made templates (customer
receipts, kitchen tickets, delivery/pickup tickets, gift receipts, packing slips,
refund slips), design image- and font-rich receipts in our [visual receipt designer](https://www.receiptkit.io/receipt-designer?utm_source=wordpress-org&utm_medium=listing&utm_campaign=readme)(
try it in your browser, no account needed), or generate with AI authoring tools.

Unlike PDF/invoice plugins, ReceiptKit renders a **receipt you design** — line items
with variations and product add-ons, totals, logo, QR codes, barcodes, huge order
numbers your kitchen can read across the room — and pushes it to your printer over
a fast cloud connection through a small bridge app running on your own network.
Design the receipt once in the ReceiptKit editor; change it any time without touching
code, and size every element independently.

**Supported printers:** ReceiptKit prints to **Star Micronics**, **Epson**, **Rongta**,**
Munbyn**, and most **ESC/POS-compatible** thermal printers (via the ReceiptKit bridge).
Tested end-to-end: the **Star mC-Print3** (our production model) and **TSP100/TSP143**
series, **Epson TM-T88** series, **Rongta RP326**, and **Munbyn 80mm** models; other
ESC/POS printers are supported generically. Look up your model in the [printer compatibility matrix](https://www.receiptkit.io/docs/supported-printers?utm_source=wordpress-org&utm_medium=listing&utm_campaign=readme)—
and if yours doesn’t work, there’s a form in the settings to tell us.

#### What you can do

 * **Print any order from your browser** — open an order, pick a template, click
Print. The receipt is rendered in your browser and sent to whichever printer
you choose in the print dialog, so it works with any printer that has a driver
installed, thermal or not. Free and unlimited on every ReceiptKit plan. Each
order also shows its **print history**.
 * Build **print rules**: _when_ an order event happens (status change, refund,
order created, or a manual button), _if_ conditions on the order data are met,
_then_ print to the bridge, printer and template you choose.
 * Manage all your rules from one **overview table** — each with an enable/disable
toggle and a **live health indicator** — and edit them in a focused pop-up.
 * See **live status** for every bridge and printer on your account, right on the
settings screen, so you know a rule can actually reach its printer.
 * Print **refund receipts** automatically when an order is refunded (full or partial).
 * Route different receipts to **different printers** — add one rule for a counter
receipt and another for a kitchen ticket on the same event.
 * Add conditions on order data: total, payment method, coupons, item SKUs/categories,
country, refund amount, and more — with is / is not / greater than / less than/
contains operators. Money like `$12.01` is compared numerically automatically.
 * Print **item variations and product add-ons** (“Size: Large”, “No onions”) under
each line item, plus the customer’s note — so kitchen tickets never miss a modifier.
 * Include **data other plugins attach to orders** — delivery/pickup dates and times,
tips, gift flags — by listing the meta keys you want in settings. Only the keys
you choose are sent, never an all-or-nothing dump of hidden fields.
 * Print the order’s **fulfillment method** (shipping vs. local pickup), status,
coupon codes, fees, and a **per-rate tax breakdown** for VAT/GST tax-invoice
   receipts.
 * **Works with Orderable** out of the box: when the Orderable restaurant plugin
is active, the service type (delivery / pickup / table), requested date and time
slot, location, table number and tip are available in your templates automatically,
with matching “Orderable” templates in the gallery and one-click recipes for
kitchen, delivery, pickup and table tickets.
 * Open a cash drawer before/after printing, and print multiple copies.
 * Add any rule to the order screen’s **Print** actions menu for on-demand (re)printing.
 * **Test a rule** against a recent order to see exactly which conditions pass before
   you enable it.
 * Send a **test print** from any rule’s row to confirm that rule’s printer end-
   to-end.
 * Design branded receipts, refund slips, packing slips, and kitchen tickets in
   ReceiptKit.
 * **Admin screens in your language**: the plugin’s settings, rule editor and order
screens are translated into Arabic, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Indonesian,
Italian, Persian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese,
   and follow your WordPress language.
 * **Receipts in your store’s language**: the plugin tells ReceiptKit your store’s
language and currency, so your ReceiptKit account can default its receipt language
   to match your store.

#### How it works

 1. Design a receipt template in your ReceiptKit dashboard (or clone a “WooCommerce
Order” or “WooCommerce Refund” template from the gallery).
 2. Install this plugin, paste your ReceiptKit public key, and click Connect.
 3. Open any order and click **Print** in its ReceiptKit box — the receipt prints from
your browser to any printer on your computer. That’s it for attended printing.
 4. Want receipts to print by themselves? Install the free ReceiptKit bridge on a computer
on the same network as your printer, then add a print rule (or start from a recipe)—
choose when it runs, any conditions, and what to print.
 5. Orders print automatically, silently, with no dialog.

#### Requirements

 * An active [ReceiptKit](https://www.receiptkit.io/?utm_source=wordpress-org&utm_medium=listing&utm_campaign=readme)
   account and public API key.
 * For browser printing: any printer installed on your computer with its manufacturer’s
   driver.
 * For automatic printing: the ReceiptKit bridge running next to a supported thermal
printer (Star Micronics, Epson, or ESC/POS-compatible).
 * WooCommerce 8.0+ (High-Performance Order Storage supported).

### External services

This plugin is a connector for **ReceiptKit** (https://www.receiptkit.io), the cloud
receipt-printing service, and requires a ReceiptKit account. It communicates with
ReceiptKit in these ways:

**1. Automatic printing (bridge).** When a print rule runs (or you click Test print),
the plugin sends the mapped order data — line items, totals, order and customer
details, your store’s name, address and phone number (from WooCommerce settings)
for the receipt header, and any extra order fields you configure — to ReceiptKit’s
print API at `www.receiptkit.io`, authenticated with your public API key, so the
receipt can be rendered and delivered to your printer.

**2. Browser printing.** Browser printing renders the receipt in your own browser;
the order data never leaves it. To do that, the “Print receipt” page loads three
things from your configured ReceiptKit host (`www.receiptkit.io` by default) over
HTTPS, authenticated with your public API key where noted: (a) the **template definition**(
your receipt design — layout, text and fields; authenticated), fetched by your server
and cached locally for an hour; (b) ReceiptKit’s **renderer script** (`/renderer/
v1.0.0/receiptkit-browser-print.js`), the service’s client-side component that turns
a template plus order data into a printable receipt — loading it sends no order
data, only the ordinary HTTP request; and (c) the **font files** your template uses,
fetched by hash from ReceiptKit’s public font endpoint, which may redirect to ReceiptKit’s
font CDN at `d1uf62nizas2ue.cloudfront.net` (Amazon CloudFront, operated for ReceiptKit;
it serves only font files, and the request carries no order data or API key). After
a receipt is printed, the plugin sends a small **usage event** to ReceiptKit’s API(
event type, the template id, the order id, and “woocommerce” as the source) so your
dashboard can show printing activity; no order contents are included.

**3. Settings screen (data + live status).** The settings screen loads your bridges,
printers and templates from ReceiptKit’s API to populate the rule editor. It also
opens a single read-only WebSocket connection (MQTT over WSS) to ReceiptKit’s live-
status message broker at `a3cdv9umpaq1po-ats.iot.us-east-1.amazonaws.com` — an AWS
IoT Core endpoint operated for ReceiptKit — authorized with your public API key,
to show live bridge and printer status (online/offline, out of paper, cover open).
This connection only receives status messages for your account; no order or customer
data is sent over it. The MQTT client library (`mqtt.min.js`) is bundled with the
plugin.

**4. Printer support requests.** If you submit the “Request printer support” form,
the details you enter (printer make and model, order volume, your email, an optional
note, and your store URL) are sent to ReceiptKit so we can follow up.

**5. Template preview data.** To set up your receipt templates so they preview the
way your receipts print, the plugin sends ReceiptKit: your store name, address,
phone number and logo (the site logo, WooCommerce email header image or site icon
that prints best, as the image file WordPress already has); your currency, number,
date and time formats; your tax rate names (for example “VAT 20%”); your first enabled
shipping and payment method names; and example items (name, SKU, variation and price)
from a few of your top-selling products, priced and formatted by WooCommerce. The
customer on the example receipt is made up (name, email, phone and address are placeholders).
_What is not sent:_ no order, customer or personal data. _When:_ once right after
you connect, and whenever you click “Update previews from my store” on the Templates
tab; never in the background. _Why:_ ReceiptKit writes these values into your WooCommerce
templates’ sample data, which previews and test prints use; real receipts always
print the real order. _Retention:_ ReceiptKit keeps the latest one with your account
until it is replaced or you delete your ReceiptKit account.

Every request the plugin’s server code makes to ReceiptKit carries the plugin version
and the WooCommerce version (for example `receiptkit-for-woocommerce/1.6.0 WooCommerce/
11.1.2`), alongside WordPress’s standard User-Agent (WordPress version and your
store URL), so ReceiptKit support knows what your store runs.

The authenticated requests in (1), (2), (3) and (5) also carry your store’s **language
and money format**: the WordPress site language (for example `de_DE`), the WooCommerce
store currency and its symbol, the currency position, the number of price decimals,
and the decimal and thousand separators. ReceiptKit stores the latest values with
your account so your receipts can default to your store’s language and show prices
the way your store does. These are store settings only; no order, customer or personal
data is part of them. The printer support request form in (4) does not send them.

Apart from the ReceiptKit renderer script and font files described in (2), which
are part of the ReceiptKit service and load only on the “Print receipt” page, no
remote scripts, styles or images are loaded from any host.

ReceiptKit: [terms of service](https://www.receiptkit.io/terms), [privacy policy](https://www.receiptkit.io/privacy).
The live-status endpoint and the font CDN run on Amazon Web Services: [AWS privacy notice](https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/),
[AWS service terms](https://aws.amazon.com/service-terms/).

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin to `/wp-content/plugins/receiptkit-for-woocommerce`, or install
    it from the Plugins screen.
 2. Activate it through the **Plugins** menu in WordPress.
 3. Go to **WooCommerce ReceiptKit**.
 4. Paste your public API key (starts with `rk_pub_`) and click **Connect**.
 5. Add a print rule (or start from a recipe): pick when it runs, add any conditions,
and choose the bridge, printer and template. Rules save automatically.
 6. Click **Test print** on the rule’s row to confirm, then enable it with the toggle.

## FAQ

### How does browser printing work?

Open an order and click **Print** in the ReceiptKit box (or the printer icon in
the orders list). The plugin renders your designed template with the order’s data
right in your browser and opens the normal print dialog; choose your receipt printer
and print. It needs a printer installed on that computer with its manufacturer’s
driver (Star, Epson, and most others provide Windows and macOS drivers) — the driver
converts the receipt for the printer, so there is nothing else to install. Set the
paper size to your roll width (80 mm or 58 mm), margins to none, and turn off headers
and footers. Cutting and the cash drawer are controlled by the driver’s settings.
On a dedicated counter PC, Chrome’s `--kiosk-printing` flag prints straight to the
default printer without a dialog. Browser printing is free and unlimited on every
plan. For printing with no dialog and nobody at the computer — a kitchen printer,
for example — install the Receipt Bridge and add a print rule.

### Do I need a specific printer?

For **browser printing**, any printer installed on your computer works — thermal,
inkjet or laser. For **automatic printing** through the bridge, you need a thermal
printer that speaks StarPRNT, Star Raster, or ESC/POS — that covers **Star Micronics**,**
Epson**, **Rongta**, **Munbyn**, and most generic ESC/POS-compatible models. Tested
end-to-end: the **Star mC-Print3** and **TSP100/TSP143** series, the **Epson TM-
T88** series, the **Rongta RP326**, and **Munbyn 80mm** models. Check your exact
model in the [printer compatibility matrix](https://www.receiptkit.io/docs/supported-printers?utm_source=wordpress-org&utm_medium=listing&utm_campaign=readme).
If your printer doesn’t work — an impact/dot-matrix model, or a brand that doesn’t
follow ESC/POS — use the **Request printer support** form on the settings screen
to tell us the make and model, and we will email you when yours is supported.

### Where do I get an API key?

In your ReceiptKit dashboard under **Settings API Keys**. Use your public key (`
rk_pub_…`). It is safe to store here: it can print and read printer status, and
it can’t see or change anything else in your ReceiptKit account.

### How do print rules work?

Each rule is a **When / If / Then** automation. _When_ an order event happens (a
status change, a refund, an order being created, or a manual click), the rule checks
_if_ your conditions match the order’s data, and if so runs the _then_ — one or
more print actions (template + printer + optional cash drawer + copies). Add as
many rules as you like; for example one for order receipts on _Processing_ and another
for a refund receipt when an order is refunded. Use the **Test** button on a rule
to check it against your most recent order before enabling it.

### Can I print refund receipts?

Yes. Add a rule whose event is **Order is refunded** and point it at a refund template(
clone the “WooCommerce Refund” template from the gallery). It prints on both full
and partial refunds, once per refund.

### Can I print delivery times, tips, or other fields added by another plugin?

Yes. Many plugins (delivery-slot pickers, tip add-ons, gift options) store their
data as order meta. In **WooCommerce ReceiptKit Settings Extra order fields**,
list the meta keys you want on your receipts — one per line, with an optional label
after a `|` (for example `_delivery_time | Delivery time`). Each order then sends
those values to your templates two ways: a repeatable `metaFields` list (label +
value) you can drop into any template, and an individual field per key (`_delivery_time`
becomes `{{deliveryTime}}`) for prominent placement — like a big pickup time at
the top of a kitchen ticket. Only the keys you list are sent.

### Does it work with Orderable?

Yes. Orderable orders are WooCommerce orders, so they print like any other. When
Orderable is active the plugin also adds the Orderable service type (delivery, pickup
or table), the requested date and time slot, the fulfilment location, and — with
Orderable Pro — the table number and checkout tip to every receipt as template fields,
with nothing to configure. Start from the “Orderable – Kitchen Ticket”, “Orderable–
Delivery/Pickup Ticket” or “Orderable – Customer Receipt” templates in the ReceiptKit
gallery, then add a rule from one of the “Orderable” recipes. Unlike Orderable’s
built-in print button, receipts print automatically the moment an order is paid,
on a kitchen printer that doesn’t need a screen next to it. See the [Orderable setup guide](https://www.receiptkit.io/docs/orderable?utm_source=wordpress-org&utm_medium=listing&utm_campaign=readme).

### Do item variations and add-ons print?

Yes. Each line item includes a `meta` field with its variations and product add-
on selections (“Size: Large”, “No onions”), one per line. The WooCommerce gallery
templates render it under the item name; on kitchen tickets it’s bold so modifiers
never get missed.

### Is High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) supported?

Yes. The plugin reads orders through WooCommerce’s standard order APIs and declares
HPOS compatibility.

### Will it print old orders when I activate it?

No. Each rule prints an order (or refund) once, when its event happens after the
rule is configured — never retroactively.

I have been using ReceiptKit for a while and the WooCommerce plugin was easy to
get going. Prints fast and the templates look good.

## Changelog

#### 1.7.0

 * New: each print now includes what was paid, one line per payment (`payments`:
the payment method and the order total), so receipts can show the payment under
the TOTAL the way tills print it.
 * New: one line per coupon (`couponLines`: the code and its discount) and per fee(`
feeLines`: the fee’s name and amount), for receipts that list each one instead
of a single Discount or Fees line.
 * New: for stores whose prices include tax, the discount, shipping and fees with
   tax (`discountInclTax`, `shippingInclTax`, `feesInclTax`) and `pricesIncludeTax`,
so a “prices include tax” receipt adds up to the total, with the tax shown after
   it (“Incl. VAT 20%”).
 * Improved: the new fields are in your store’s template previews too. Nothing that
was sent before has changed, so existing templates print exactly as before.

#### 1.6.0

 * New: your receipt templates now preview the way your receipts print. When you
connect, ReceiptKit sets up your templates in your store’s language, with your
logo, currency, date format, tax names and example items from your catalog. “
Update previews from my store” on the Templates tab refreshes them anytime. Preview
data only; no customer or order data is included.
 * New: order totals are also sent as plain numbers (shippingAmount, taxAmount,
discountAmount, feesAmount, subtotalAmount, totalAmount; tipAmount with Orderable)
for template rules like “show Shipping only when it isn’t zero”. This fixes a“
0,00 kr.” shipping line printing on orders without shipping in stores whose currency
   symbol ends in a period.
 * New: “Don’t repeat options that are already in the product name” (Settings tab,
on by default). Example: “Ramen – Small” now prints without a “Size: Small” line
under it, because the name already says it. Other options and add-ons still print,
as in WooCommerce’s order emails. Turn it off to print every option as before.
 * New: reconnecting keeps your existing templates as they are. On ReceiptKit’s
connect page you can choose to add the latest starter templates and pick which
templates get your store’s preview data; “Update previews from my store” on the
Templates tab lets you pick templates too. The setup card shows every template
it set up, with ‹ › to browse them.
 * New: “Add the latest starter templates” on the Templates tab adds new copies
of the latest Customer Receipt and Kitchen Ticket designs (and the Orderable
tickets when Orderable is active) with your store’s logo, currency and example
items. Your existing templates and print rules aren’t changed.
 * New: a refreshed Customer Receipt starter: your store’s address and phone in
the header, one tax line per rate with your store’s own tax names, larger text,
and the item total next to “qty × price” for more than one.
 * Improved: a store with no products yet previews with two example items, priced
and taxed in your currency, instead of an empty receipt.
 * Improved: the Templates tab’s “Sample data” previews show each template’s own
preview data, as the ReceiptKit designer does. With “An order” selected, a “View
with sample data” link switches back.
 * Improved: the live printer and bridge status no longer flickers, and keeps the
last known status through short connection drops.
 * Improved: the “Recommended printer” notice and the “Using a different printer?”
form can be closed for good.
 * Improved: after connecting, “Choose a printer” takes you to the Printers & bridges
tab, and the setup card shows the whole receipt.
 * Removed: the Sample orders tab. Template previews are now set up for you automatically.

#### 1.5.0

 * New: preview your templates with your real orders. The new “Sample orders” tab
has an on/off switch and, when on, suggests 5 varied recent orders (different
shipping methods, a note, extra fields, a refund), lets you find any order by
number or browse and filter recent orders, and shows each one exactly as it will
be sent: as a receipt drawn with the template you pick, or as the raw data. When
you change your samples later, the tab starts from the orders already on ReceiptKit.
Customer details are hidden by default; notes and extra fields can be hidden
too. Nothing is sent until you click “Send to ReceiptKit”, and “Delete my samples
from ReceiptKit” removes them. Optional and off by default; see “External services”.
 * New: the connect step has an unchecked opt-in to set up sample orders right after
connecting (it opens the Sample orders tab; nothing is sent at connect).
 * New: the Templates tab is a preview workspace. Pick a template from the list
and see it large, with sample data or any of your orders (find it by number or
pick a recent one). The preview is drawn in your browser; the order is not sent
to ReceiptKit. From there, Print… opens the print page for that template and
order, and “Use as sample” adds the order to your sample orders (nothing is sent
   until you click Send there).
 * New: the order screen’s ReceiptKit box has a Preview button that shows this order
drawn with any of your templates in a dialog, with Print… to open the print page.
It is drawn in your browser, loads only when you click it, and the order is not
   sent to ReceiptKit.
 * Changed: the header’s Settings button and its pop-up are replaced by a Settings
tab (Connection, Extra order fields, Advanced and the setup guide). Saving returns
to the tab. Before connecting, the page shows Connect and Settings tabs; “Paste
it instead” opens the key field on the Settings tab.
 * New: the admin screens are translated into Arabic, Danish, Dutch, French, German,
Indonesian, Italian, Persian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Thai, Turkish and
Vietnamese (bundled with the plugin; WordPress.org language packs take precedence).
They follow your WordPress language, including the rule table, rule editor, test
   results and live status.
 * New: requests to ReceiptKit include your store’s language and currency format(
site language, currency and symbol, currency position, price decimals and separators),
so your ReceiptKit account can default its receipt language to your store’s language.
   See “External services”.
 * Improved: counts read naturally in every language (“1 printer”, “2 printers”),
and the rule table, rule editor and test results no longer show untranslated
   English.
 * Fixed: the order screen’s printer note now says the cash drawer stays closed
unless a print rule is set to open it.
 * Improved: printing a receipt in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Thai and other
scripts from the browser shows “Preparing fonts…” with a percentage while the
fonts it needs download. If one cannot be downloaded, the page says so and offers
Retry instead of printing a receipt with missing characters.
 * Improved: prices on your receipts line up exactly. Amounts in your templates
no longer end with a stray space, including currencies whose symbol carries its
own space (such as the Bangladeshi taka shown after the amount).

#### 1.4.4

 * Improved: requests to ReceiptKit say which versions of this plugin and of WooCommerce
sent them, so ReceiptKit support can see what your store runs. Nothing else is
sent and nothing changes in your store.

#### 1.4.3

 * New: **Fields found on your recent orders**. Under Extra order fields, pick the
order data other plugins store (delivery dates, gift messages, pickup times)
from a list read from your last 20 orders, with an example value for each, instead
   of typing meta keys. The list is read and shown only in your WordPress admin;
a field’s value is sent only after you add it and save.
 * New: order time fields for templates: `{{orderTime}}` and `{{orderDateTime}}`
in your store’s time format (plus `{{refundTime}}` and `{{refundDateTime}}` for
   refunds). `{{orderDate}}` is unchanged.
 * New: tax-inclusive prices for stores that show prices with tax: `{{items.priceInclTax}}`,`{{
items.totalInclTax}}` and `{{subtotalInclTax}}`, so line items add up to the
   order total.
 * Improved: sample prints use a sample phone number and addresses shaped like real
   WooCommerce orders.
 * Fixed: the Orderable print-rule presets named templates that don’t exist; they
now point to the Delivery Driver Ticket, Packing Slip and Order Confirmation
   templates.

#### 1.4.2

 * Improved: the print page shows where a receipt is going. A **Send to** control
sits right beside Print, with a line explaining what will happen, and your choice
is remembered for this browser and as the store default, so you no longer re-
pick the printer on every visit.
 * Improved: Preview / Print and the Templates tab thumbnails render templates that
were designed for other data (a POS receipt, a label) with the template’s own
   sample values instead of literal placeholders. Applies to sample prints only;
   real order prints are unchanged.
 * Fixed: sample prints showed a “-$0.00” discount line that real orders hide.
 * Changed: the “Orderable templates” gallery button on the Templates tab is gone;
the connect notice links to the WooCommerce gallery filter instead.
 * Note: ReceiptKit’s font update (45 families, real bold weights) reaches browser
printing through the hosted renderer, no plugin update needed. If a store’s receipts
still print with the old fonts, hard-refresh the print page once.

#### 1.4.1

 * New: if Orderable is active when you click **Connect with ReceiptKit**, the Orderable
kitchen ticket, driver ticket, packing slip, and order confirmation templates
are added to your account along with the WooCommerce starters. The Templates
tab also gets an “Orderable templates” gallery button.

#### 1.4.0

 * New: **Connect with ReceiptKit.** One button links the store: sign in (or create
a free account), confirm, and you’re back in WordPress connected — no API key
to copy. ReceiptKit creates a key just for this store and adds a Customer Receipt
   and a Kitchen Ticket template.
 * New: on a first connect with no print rules yet, an “Order receipt” rule is created
for you (switched off) pointing at the new Customer Receipt template — use Preview/
Print to check it, then switch it on.
 * New: Settings Connection has **Switch to a different account** and **Disconnect**.
Disconnecting keeps your print rules. Pasting a key manually still works under“
   Change the key manually”.
 * Changed: the manual-key modal no longer opens automatically on first run when
   one-click connect is available.
 * Changed: each print rule has one **Preview / Print** button. It opens the sample
receipt page with the rule’s template and printer already selected (“This computer”
when the rule has no printer) — preview it, change the choices, or print it from
there. Replaces the separate “Test print” and “Print in browser” buttons.
 * Changed: the sample receipt page can print to a bridge printer as well as the
   browser’s print dialog.
 * New: the settings page is now tabbed: **Print rules**, **Templates**, and **Printers&
bridges**. The Templates tab shows every template on your account rendered with
sample order data, with Preview / Print, Edit in ReceiptKit, and New from the
gallery (opens the gallery filtered to the WooCommerce starters). The Printers&
bridges tab shows “This computer” plus each bridge and its printers with live
status, or how to get the bridge if you have none.

#### 1.3.0

 * New: **Print any receipt to any printer from the order screen.** The ReceiptKit
box is now a simple chooser — pick a receipt and a printer, click Print. “This
computer” prints through your browser’s print dialog; a named printer prints
through your Receipt Bridge in place, with the result shown right there and no
page reload. Your last choice becomes the default.
 * New: a **Receipt** column in the orders list: one click prints the default receipt
to the default printer; the caret opens the chooser. Shows by default on both
   order storage modes.
 * Changed: the “Print receipt” preview page has the same Receipt and Printer choices,
prefilled from where you opened it, and its Print button sends to the selected
   printer.
 * Changed: the print history names the printer for bridge prints.

#### 1.2.3

 * New: when a store prints 10 or more receipts from the browser in a week and has
no Receipt Bridge yet, the settings page suggests installing the free bridge
for automatic printing (with a “Remind me later” that hides it for two weeks).
The counts come from ReceiptKit; browser prints are never metered.

#### 1.2.2

 * Improved: the ReceiptKit box on the order screen now sits at the top of the sidebar,
next to Order actions, instead of below the order notes.

#### 1.2.1

 * Fix: the “Print receipt” page returned “Sorry, you are not allowed to access
this page” in 1.2.0 (hidden admin page registration). Browser printing now works
from the order screen, the orders list, and the settings sample button.

#### 1.2.0

 * New: **Browser printing.** Print any order (or refund) from the order screen
with your designed template, through your browser’s print dialog, to any printer
installed on your computer — no bridge required. Free and unlimited. Every order
gets a **ReceiptKit** box with template choice, Preview and Print buttons, and
a **print history** (bridge and browser prints, with who printed and whether
it succeeded); the orders list gets a print icon; each rule row gets a “Print
   in browser” sample print.
 * New: template definitions are cached locally for an hour so browser prints keep
working during a brief ReceiptKit outage.
 * Changed: the setup guide now gets you to a first browser print before suggesting
the Receipt Bridge; the bridge is optional and only needed for silent automatic
   printing.
 * Docs: “External services” documents the hosted renderer script, template and
font loads, and the usage event used by browser printing.

#### 1.1.0

 * New: Orderable integration. When the Orderable restaurant plugin is active, the
service type, delivery/pickup date and time slot, location, table number and
   tip are added to every receipt as template fields automatically ({{serviceType}},{{
   serviceDateTime}}, {{locationName}}, {{tableNumber}}, {{tip}}), the rule builder
gains an “Orderable” condition group, and one-click recipes for kitchen, delivery,
pickup, table and customer-receipt rules appear. Pairs with the new “Orderable”
   templates in the ReceiptKit gallery.

#### 1.0.8

 * Fixed: the WordPress.org listing banner now says “Auto-print receipts” instead
   of “Auto-print orders”.

#### 1.0.7

 * Improved: links from the plugin to receiptkit.io are now tagged so we can see
which customers arrived through the plugin.

#### 1.0.6

 * Improved: the rules table now shows a clear “Off” status for switched-off rules
instead of the printer-health chip, so a disabled rule can’t read as “Ready”.
 * Improved: the rule editor notes that newly added blank rules start switched off(
rules created from a recipe start on).
 * Fixed: the status chip now refreshes immediately when a rule is toggled on or
   off.

#### 1.0.5

 * Documentation: “External services” is now its own top-level readme section and
fully documents the live-status WebSocket connection (the AWS IoT Core endpoint
used by the settings screen) alongside the print API and the printer-request
form, with terms and privacy links for both ReceiptKit and AWS.
 * Copy: settings-screen text updated to say “receipt printer” rather than “Star
printer” — reflecting all supported brands.

#### 1.0.4

 * Clarified in code that the AWS IoT hostname in the live-status module is a WebSocket
data endpoint (documented under “External services”) — no remote scripts, styles,
or images are loaded; the MQTT client library is bundled with the plugin.

#### 1.0.3

 * Tested up to WordPress 7.1 (verified on a live 7.1 + WooCommerce 10.9 store).

#### 1.0.2

 * Docs: printer compatibility notes now name the tested Epson TM-T88 series, Rongta
RP326, and Munbyn 80mm models, and link to the full model-by-model compatibility
   matrix.

#### 1.0.1

 * Improved: the rule editor now refreshes your bridges, printers and templates
from ReceiptKit every time it opens, so renames made in the dashboard show up
   immediately.
 * Changed: new rules default to appearing in the order screen’s “Print” actions
menu (uncheck the option in the rule editor to opt out).

#### 1.0.0

 * First stable release.
 * New: line items now include their variations and product add-ons (`meta`), so
kitchen tickets can print every modifier.
 * New: “Extra order fields” setting — list order meta keys (delivery/pickup times,
tips, gift flags from other plugins) to include on receipts, selectively. Each
key is sent as a labeled `metaFields` row and as its own template field (e.g.`
   _delivery_time` `deliveryTime`).
 * New: order payload now includes fulfillment method (`shippingMethod`), order
status, coupon codes, fees, and a per-rate tax breakdown (`taxLines`) for VAT/
   GST tax-invoice templates.
 * New: gallery starter templates for a Delivery/Pickup ticket, a Gift Receipt (
   prices hidden), and a Tax Invoice (VAT/ABN header with per-rate tax breakdown);
the Customer Receipt now prints item options and the customer’s note.

#### 0.2.2

 * Maintenance release: build/packaging refresh. No functional changes.

#### 0.2.1

 * New: rules that point at a template which has since been archived or deleted
in ReceiptKit now show a clear “Template unavailable” warning instead of silently
blanking the selection, and the saved template is preserved so you can review
it before choosing a current one.

#### 0.2.0

 * New: rule-based printing (When / If / Then). Each rule prints to one destination—
a bridge, printer and template you choose.
 * New: print rules overview table with a per-rule enable/disable toggle and a live
health indicator, plus a modal editor.
 * New: bridge-first rule editor — pick a bridge (auto-selected when you have only
one), see its live status, then pick a printer on it and a template.
 * New: live device status — a Devices panel shows every bridge and printer on your
account and whether each is online, out of paper, etc.
 * New: automatic refund receipts (full and partial refunds) via a “WooCommerce
   Refund” template.
 * New: one-click recipes, per-field hints, autosave (no page reloads), and a “Test
   against a recent order” check.
 * New: add any rule to the order screen’s Print actions menu.
 * Conditions compare money strings numerically and never error on empty/invalid
values; a print failure can never interrupt an order.

#### 0.1.0

 * Initial release: auto-print WooCommerce orders to a Star Micronics printer via
ReceiptKit, with printer/template selection, cash-drawer control, and a test
   print.
