## Description

WAP QA Auditor for Elementor is a lightweight quality assurance (QA) tool for agencies,
freelancers and developers who build websites with Elementor.

It performs a manual, on-demand audit of your Elementor-managed content and flags
common pre-launch issues, so you can catch them before the client sees them.

This is **not** an SEO plugin, **not** a performance optimization plugin and **not**
a monitoring tool. It runs only when you click “Run Scan” — there are no background
jobs, no cron events and no external requests.

**What it checks:**

 * Non-WebP images (JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF)
 * Images larger than 200 KB
 * Missing or multiple H1 headings
 * Custom colors instead of Elementor Global Colors
 * Custom typography instead of Elementor Global Typography
 * Container nesting deeper than 4 levels
 * Empty or invalid links (blank href, #, javascript:void(0), empty button/link
   URLs)

**Scan modes:**

 * Full Website Scan — scans every Elementor-managed page, template, header, footer,
   archive, single template and popup.
 * Selected Content Scan — search and choose exactly which pages or templates to
   scan.

**Dashboard:**

An at-a-glance score card (0-100), total content scanned, total issues, critical
issues, warning issues and the last scan date.

**Results page:**

Every issue is grouped by type into clean, expandable sections, with critical issues
shown first. Search, filter by page, severity or content type, jump straight to
the affected page or open it in Elementor, and export the full report to CSV in
one click.

Found a false positive, or an issue you’ve decided not to fix? Mark it as “Ignored”—
it stays visible for reference but is excluded from the site score, issue totals
and CSV export. Ignored issues stay ignored across future scans of the same content,
and can be unignored at any time.

**Privacy & data:**

This plugin does not collect, transmit or track any data. It stores one scan summary
and one small list of ignored-issue references using the WordPress Options API,
plus the current scan’s issue list in a transient. Each new scan replaces the previous
results — no scan history is kept, and no custom database tables are created.

## FAQ

### Does this plugin require Elementor?

Yes. Elementor must be installed and active. The plugin will show an admin notice
if it is not.

### Does this plugin run automatically in the background?

No. Scans only run when you explicitly click “Run Full Scan” or “Run Selected Scan”.
There are no cron jobs or background workers.

### Does this plugin send any data externally?

No. All scanning happens locally on your server. No external API calls, telemetry
or tracking are used.

### Does the plugin keep a history of past scans?

No. Only the most recent scan summary and results are stored. Running a new scan
replaces the previous one.

### Can I exclude an issue I don’t want to fix?

Yes. Click “Ignore” next to any issue on the Results page. It remains visible for
your reference but is no longer counted toward the site score, issue totals or CSV
export, and stays ignored across future scans until you click “Unignore”.

### What happens to plugin data when I uninstall it?

All plugin data (the scan summary option, the ignored-issues option and the scan
results transient) is permanently removed when the plugin is uninstalled.

Great little tool for catching things before a page goes live. Ran a full scan and
it immediately flagged a few oversized images, a page with a duplicate H1, and a
couple of dead links I’d missed. Everything’s laid out clearly on one dashboard
with a score, and you can jump straight into Elementor to fix each issue. Nice touches:
it only scans on demand (no background processes), doesn’t send any data externally,
and has an “Ignore” option for false positives so they don’t keep dragging down
the score. CSV export is a nice bonus for keeping records. Lightweight, does exactly
what it says, no bloat. Recommended if you want a quick QA pass before publishing.
